I learned alot about the curse that was place upon the Lamanites after reading the quote from President Smith. The curse wasn't the dark skin, although that was the sign of the curse, but instead it was the withdrawal of the Spirit. I really enjoyed this lesson. I also found joy in the psalm of Nephi. I felt like I understood his personality more.
I forgot to write something else that I enjoyed. Sister Lant said, "I find that what I take away from the scriptures is determined by what I bring." We all are in different stages of our lives, and we all will take different things from the scriptures during those times. :)
