chapter 1

I have read chapter 1 and loved the information given there. I shared the story with my family about the burglar who stole the present from that lady which turned out to be the Book of Mormon. We all enjoyed that story and know there is great power in this book. I'm excited to study this and look forward to a greater understanding. I just need my memory to be good so that I might remember scriptures, thoughts, etc. so that I might recall them at important times. (I guess that is where you rely on the spirit).

Book of Mormon Chapter 1

· This whole chapter is so informative and inspiring.
· We discussed the great promise made to all of us by President Hinckley; “Without reservation I promise you that if each of you will read the Book of Mormon, there will come into your lives and into your homes an added measure of the Spirit of the Lord, a strengthened resolution to walk in obedience to His commandments, and a stronger testimony of the living reality of the Son of God”
· After reading this chapter, I looked at the Appendix in the back of the manual….the charts on page 407-409 are sooo good….if you take time to really look at them, you will learn much. Plus, if you become familiar with them, then as we read on,, it’s easier to turn back and check them out for more understanding.
